My top 10 favorite things to do in Oahu!

Hi guys! Sorry I’ve been away for awhile, I went on vacation and totally forgot about everything. As it should be. 😉 Wanted to share a little of my vacation and my top 10 favorite things to do in Oahu with everyone. You will be shocked with number 6!

1. Take a helicopter ride around the whole island the first day. This will set the bar for your trip! You will be amazed what the island has to offer. We booked through

1. Take a helicopter ride around the whole island of Oahu the first day. This will set the bar for your trip! You will be amazed what the island has to offer. We booked through Paradise Helicopters – Turtle Bay.

While you make your way to the North Shore for your helicopter ride, stop by the fruit stands by the side of the road. Lots of fruits to pick from and they will even cut it up for you. Love that they cut your coconut fresh and scoop ice into it.

3. Kaneohe Sandbar. If you can't already tell...it was amazing! The sandbar is 6 miles long and the water was breathtaking! You can only get to the sandbar by licensed boat. We booked through Captain Bob's (they fill up quickly!). Captain Bob's provide you lunch, beach volleyball, and snorkeling. This is where we saw lots of Sea turtles.

3. Kaneohe Sandbar. If you can’t already tell…it was amazing! It is arguably the best sandbar in Oahu! The sandbar is 6 miles long and the water was breathtaking! You can only get to the sandbar by licensed boat. We booked through Captain Bob’s (they fill up quickly!). Captain Bob’s provides  lunch, beach volleyball, and snorkeling. This is where we saw lots of Sea turtles. Spendy, but worth it!

4. Marukame Udon. Hands down the best damn bowl of noodle soup I ever had. I will probably change my mind once I visit Japan, but for now this is it. Not pictured...my plate piled high with tempura.

4. Marukame Udon. Hands down the best damn bowl of noodle soup I ever had. I will probably change my mind once I visit Japan, but for now this is it. I had the Niku Udon and my bf had the cold Bukkake udon. Both equally delicious. Not pictured…my plate piled high with tempura. Tip: visit the on in the Fort Street Mall, no line. The one in Waikiki is crazy busy!

5. Cliff dive at Waimea Bay. I can't swim, so my bf cliff dived (3 times!). He said it was awesome and he can check it off his bucket list. Even if you can't swim, just people watching is something to gawk at. There were people who were up there for a long time just contemplating life and if it was worth it to jump off the cliff haha

6. Giovanni's Shrimp - North Shore. SIGHHH, where do I even begin. THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION!

6. Giovanni’s Shrimp – North Shore, Oahu. SIGHHH, where do I even begin. THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION! Yup, I said it! You guys must think I’m crazy. You probably read thousands of reviews, blogs, etc telling you “Giovanni’s is a must in Oahu”! I was one of those people who read it these reviews and believed it. Boy, was I disappointed! I wanted to like it so badly, but honestly it was so fucking bland! Sorry for cussing…I’m still mad about it. Waited in a long ass line anticipating the shrimps. Shrimps, good size and portion. We got regular and their “spicy, no refund” shrimp. BLAND. So much garlic and butter, it didn’t even mixed well. Their “spicy shrimp”…oh please even those Red Hot candies have more of kick! This was my happy face before I ate the shrimps! haha

7. Hanauma Bay

7. Hanauma Bay – just look at that damn picture! I don’t need to tell you why this is a must! Also a must, flippers. Don’t be cheap like me and rent the damn flippers. My feet hurt so badly from walking on the rocks…I didn’t even get out far enough for corals. And they charge you for everything here. You wanna ride the tram cause your legs hurts from swimming or stepping on rocks?! Pay up…$1.50 to ride the tram up the hill and that’s not even included in price for parking nor ticket to swim here. RIDICULOUS.

8.

8. Byodo-In Temple, I have never seen anything so picturesque. I swear I took 100 pics of this place. I was in awe. Admission is only $3, no parking fee. Make sure you ring the temple bell before you enter the temple. Supposedly it will prolong your life 😉

ramen

9. Agu Ramen – I love me a good bowl of ramen. I was hoping to find an authentic ramen place in Oahu with all the Japanese influences there. I sure did at Agu. Not only the broth is good, but omg even the fucking noodle is amazing! Yes, the noodle! I had their spicy kotteri tonkotsu. You can adjust your spice level…I had 3 out of 5 and it was the right amount of spicy. Also, their fried pig ears were so good too!!! You won’t be disappointed with a trip here.

10. Relax.

10. Relax. Often times when we go on vacation we are so busy planning and doing so much things that we forget to relax. We found this cute swing along Kamehameha Highway along the North Shore. We spent probably a good 2 hours just sitting here. We talked, laughed, and relaxed. It was so nice to forget the world a bit and just enjoyed each other’s company. How a vacation should be.

– Leonard’s Bakery in Oahu for Malasadas aka Portuguese doughnuts. Counter ladies are a little rude and coffee is awful, but you can’t go wrong with the doughnuts. Light and fluffy like Krispy Kreme, layers like croissants, and oh so yummy!!! Nom nom.
